Questions People Ask
How often do you come?
That depends on the site and what it needs. Some grounds need weekly visits, others monthly. We assess it first and recommend a schedule rather than selling you a fixed package.
How do I know the work was actually done?
You get a job sheet for every visit and a report every month. That is the whole reason we do it. Chasing a contractor to find out whether they turned up is the most common complaint in this trade.
Do you look after the trees and turf too, or only the planting?
Both. We have ISA-certified arborists on staff, so trees, planting and turf are looked after by the same company. You do not need a second contractor for the trees.
Do you take on condominiums and MCSTs?
Yes, on term maintenance contracts. We are bizSAFE Level 3 certified and an NParks approved contractor, which is what most MCST and commercial tenders ask for.
Do you do garden maintenance for private homes?
Yes. Garden maintenance is the same work as landscape maintenance on a smaller site. We look after private homes as well as condominiums and commercial grounds, and we assess the garden first so the schedule fits what it actually needs.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
Term contracts are normal for commercial grounds because they work out cheaper, but talk to us about what suits the site. We would rather set up something that fits than lock you into something that does not.
What is not included in the maintenance?
Tree work, replanting a whole bed, and repairs to paving, drainage or the watering system. Those are quoted on their own when they come up, because none of them can be predicted a year ahead. Building them into a monthly figure would mean charging every site for something most never need.
How is landscape maintenance priced?
There is no single rate, because no two sites take the same amount of work. It moves with how big the grounds are, how often we come, what each visit covers, and how hard the site is to work. We look at the place before quoting. Anyone who gives you a monthly figure over the phone without seeing it is guessing.
